Spring card and Sequins

Hello again.

We have a fabulous new challenge for you at the House of Cards, add sequins and/or colors. You can be inspired by the colors or include some sequins on your card or be like me and use both! And here is my ispiration card.

I am ispired and by KittieKraft and have followed her blog for years. Her diecut cards with the tinies 3D flowers are stunning and I thougt it would be nice to use one of the dies I have with those tiny flowers this time.

Vintage photo as the main image and tried to layere the card for some dimension. Shaped the flowers and and added some micro star shaped sequins here and there.

Papers are from BoBunny Soirëe Collection and some scrap paper.

Tiny flower die from Impression Obsession, branch die from Marianne Design.
Stikles baby blue in the eye of the flowers. Have no clue where the sequins are from.Vintage photo from Pion papers. All layerd on some premade cardbase from Staples with thick foam tape.

Hope you got some inspiration and want to add a card for our challenge.

Happy crafting and take care.

MixMedia styled card

Hello everyone.

Back with another card for the challenge at the House of Cards.
This month it is all about feathers and/or colors. I choose to do both, and here is my card.
I knew right away when we got the theme for this challenge.

I wanted to make a mixmedia card, based on a card I have made on
class with Kirsten Hyde a while ago.
For my card I have used die cuts, flower, sequins, chains and feathers (from an old earring)
Embosssed a white paper and added some Distress ink randomly and disstressed egdes and torn them to.
Build up the the card layers with the die cuts and foam tape and the flowers. The feathers I stuck under this layers. The sequins feader I put randomly inbetween the flowers. Secured the chains under all the layers with a tweezer.
I have seen a quot that I just loved, and wanted to try out lettering, and for once I was happy with it.
Found it useful to do it on a narrow strip of paper, easier to do an even size for the letters.
Then I use some light Gesso, acrylic paint and acrylic marker and made drops around the card in two shade of torquise, one with shimmer. Painted also on the chains with the shimmer one.

Head over to the blog and see the other girls fabulous creations and I would love to see your take on the challenges over at the House of Cards.

A simple winter scene card

Hello crafty peeps.
Ready for another month of challenges at the HOUSE of CARDS?

This month you can make a scene and/or colors.

Here is my inspirations card.

I kind of used both scene and color. I always struggle with those simple, one layer CAS cards. But I think I managed a simple one layer card at least :)

When I was emptying my boxes now, I found a chalk sett, that was some of the first thing I got when I started scrapping. I have not used it for years, but thought hmm.... way not... and I think i got the look i wanted.

The shape is just masked of with some tape. Tip is to fasten it to your jeans couple of times so it is not so sticky, and will not torn your paper. And I just need to find my fixative to fix the chalk to the card now, or you smudges it easily. ;)

Stampset from Impression Opsession, has this nice text I wanted to use together with the tree and the swing. Thers also a bird, and a tyre swing and another text too in this set. I stamped with Memento gray flannel, but should have used my Versafine as it give you a crisper finish.

I wanted snow since it still is very cold and lots of snow here still. So I used a glue pen and added some white snow glitter along the branches and at the ground.

Happy with my attempt for a simple one layer card.

Here is this months challenge graphic:

Hope to see your creations in the challenge.
Happy crafting

The looooong break - Back with the House of Cards

Hello Peeeps :)

It has been a long break for me. But I am back, and with lots of ispirations stored in my mind and eager to start crafting again. I have bought me a little house on my own and have a new craft room. This I will show off in a blogpost when I am all done there in a short time. I am so pleased with it, and proud.

But now, this month challenge theme, LOVE or color over at the House of Cards.

I choose to dekorate a chocolate box. Norwegian Freia Melkehjerter - Thiny flakes of heart shaped milk chocolate. Yummy. ;)

Why, because I think it is boring to give "just" money or a gift card, so I like to dekorate a chocolate box or something to put the real gift into it.

This is what I do, open the packing all the way to it is completly flat. The container with the chocolate and proctection film, I put in the frigde.... dangerous to have it beside you....  hehe

I cover it all the on the outside, no need for doing ht inside... I cover and cut the paper alonge your "template". Then glue it all together. PST! You need to leave one side open so you can put your chocolate container inside wen your done.

You can use any of your favorite chocolate boxes or other treat boxes.

I like to decorate the inside before I do the the outside. But before I do so, I ink up every egde and corner so I dont see the white egdes of the papers.

Here I have made a pocket for money or a gift card.

Here is a detalje og how it look.
I have used a die sett from Marianne design and it made it more feminin.

I rekomend to stamp on the smaler heart before you glue it to the other panel. When you are happy with your stamping and layering, then glue it to the inside, just glue along the egdes of the V of the heart, leaving top and inside opend.

Tip is to fold some scrap paper and leave it in the pocket to it has dried.

The theme I choose for this box became vintage, a style I often use and like a lot. But you use what ever you like to decorate with.

Here is layer, bling, metals, lace swirls and vintage photo. Doilie napkins and ornamented dies I also used. Pleased with how it all worked together.

Hope it inspired you to make a something fabulous for this months challenge.

Acetat and vellum card

Hi again.

New month and and a new challenge at the House of cards. This month it is about clear papers. (Like vellum and acetate).

I had a struggel with this, not short of ideas but they did not came out the way I wanted. So at last I made this. And I am pleased with this card. It is more purple than the photos shows

I am inspired by Jennifer McGuire and lots of her tutorials for vellum and acetate card. Also little inspired from Kittie Caracciolo.

I had this tree die from Impression Obsession, and diecut it out of vellum.

I have got some alcohol inks and playedwith them on a clear binder cover. When dry I diecut som mini flowers. Did shape them e little, and random placed them on the branches of the tree. Little crystals in the center of each flower.

The sentimen is also from Impression Obsession, and machted the card well.

The base is a binder cover sheet folded, and a smaller note card inside.

The sentiment is placed on the note card inside.

Hope you have a little isnpiration from my card here. And hop over to the challenge and see all the other girls creations.

Happy crafting.

Konfirmasjons tid - jenter

Hallo igjen.

Fikk bestilling på konfirmasjons kort og da ble det noen bler i samme stilen. Utgangaspunktet var et kort jeg har laget tidligere, da til gutt.

Her er kortene.

Her er orginalen.

Og her er flere til jentene:

Lagde flere i rosa og lilla toner, men disse er de jeg likte best.

Deltar i disse utfordringene:

Hello peeps.

Spring are here and my garden are out of snow already a bit earlier this year than normal. And with springtime it is time for confirmations around here.

And this months challenges at the House of Cards has colors that are nice for girly cards.

So here we go, here are my card for this month.

Did the same lay out for the inside just shifted on the layers here.

This months challenges is all about "script" and or colors. I did go for both. I did all colors, script and the tulips. Love tulips, by the way. ;)

I have used old papers from Kort&Godt, Bazzill, DCWV and the image is from a Pion die cut sheet.

Script corner stamps are from "Lilly of the Valey" and the Norwgian sentiment say "It is your day today" and I don't know the maker of this.

Die cut a doily from an old book page, and lace and ribbon from my stash.

The tulips are from WOC. Dies I used are from Tonic Studios and Marianne Design.

Blått stjerne kort med julestjerne

Hei igjen.
